Observations of the Rain

Part 1

raindrops
like fingertips
on the windows
tapping
shadows
impolitely
asking to be
invited in, their
grief violently
pouring
through the
vulnerable
cracks of a
shaky foundation

Part 2

persistent
these sneaky, wicked
little ghosts follow me like the
haunted heartbeats
of the past refusing to stay so
lingering like a heartache
stranded in the rain will never let go

Call of the Goddess

Goddess: The Morrigan

Journal entry 12/10/2017 / Poem inspiration.

One of The Goddesses I feel strongly connected to is The Morrigan as well as crows, they seem to follow me, usually appearing in threes. This afternoon while laying in bed not wanting to move, to face another nothing day struggling with my depression they came with their relentless cawing which inspired me to get up, this poem rolling around in my head and as soon as I rose, poem complete they were gone.

The Songs of a Saturday

Play in the deep baritone barking of large un-neighborly dogs while little birds chime in with their softer sound and the crowing caws of my stalker or perhaps conductor checking in with a quick wave of his large dark wing then is gone like a shadow of a granted wish the dogs are now silent…
