The Beautiful Decay

Here I abandon all false and
hopeless hope
or rather it has abandoned me
either way I don’t know
but have accepted its ghost
and am I content
among the beautiful decay
of these gardens gray
full of my favorite
fading flowers
more vibrant now,
more alive
without the deadening
sound of colors
screaming their
deceit and lies
yes truth is here
ever telling in the bones
and the broken wings
of butterflies
with no reasons left
to fly yet still they soar
somewhere in the soul of
my darkest skies

I don’t remember the exact moment I died or why my thoughts still wander beyond the grave or why my ghost cannot rest still desperately clawing postcards, letters and lonely verse into the dirt of my worm infested heart that feasts on the love and longings never read, never sent but only lost…
